1. Why we have rules
Email only works when people trust it. These rules protect the people you email, your own domains, our other customers and our relationships with email providers. They are part of our terms of service.
2. Good sending
- Email people whose job makes your offer relevant to them.
- Tell the truth: who you are, why you are writing, and what you offer. Subject lines must match the email.
- Use your real name and company, and keep your postal address in every campaign email (SendBright adds it).
- Stop emailing anyone who asks, straight away (SendBright does this for unsubscribe links and replies).
3. Not allowed
- Bulk email to consumers, or to lists you bought or scraped without checking the people are relevant business contacts.
- Misleading or fake sender details, subject lines or "Re:" and "Fwd:" tricks.
- Phishing, malware, fraud, get-rich-quick schemes, illegal products or services, adult content, hate or harassment.
- Emailing people who unsubscribed or asked not to be contacted, including through another workspace.
- Connecting mailboxes you are not allowed to use, or hiding who really sends the email.
- Getting around our limits, for example by opening extra trials or splitting one sender across many accounts.
4. Healthy numbers
We watch the signals inbox providers watch. If a campaign's bounce rate passes the workspace limit (3% by default) SendBright pauses it automatically. Persistent high bounce or complaint rates, or spam reports from email providers, will lead to a review of your account.
5. What we do if rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may pause a campaign, pause a mailbox, suspend sending for the workspace, or close the account. Where we can, we tell you what happened and give you a chance to fix it first. Serious abuse (such as phishing or malware) leads to immediate suspension without refund.
6. Report abuse
Received an unwanted email sent with SendBright? Use the unsubscribe link in it, and tell us with the sender's address. We look into every report.
